GRAPHIC NOVELS - M/M DIGIKET

The word 'digiket' is a Japanese term used to indicate manga sold in digital format. In the West, online yaoi and glbt comics are currently available to download in .PDF or HTML, Java run FlippingBook or Mangaviewer formats, and DRM editions tailored for exclusive viewing on corporate owned eBook reading devices. Most notable sellers of m/m 'digiket' in the West are Net Comics, Class Comics [NSFW], DMP's eManga.com, and Amazon's KINDLE. At the current time neither iPOD nor iPhone have titles containing homoerotic content for their platform, because unedited erotic content cannot be sold through iTunes. Some publishers of translated Japanese comics have made their 'yaoi titles' available through KINDLE and the KINDLE ap can be purchased in order to check those titles out.

Things to Keep in Mind:

Remember, graphic novels authored for KINDLE aren't read easily on the iPOD/iPhone device; unless the comic is developed for the small screen of a hand-held unit, comic pages tailored for an eReading device are often displayed too small to read. Many publishers have developed titles into readable 'applications' for hand-hands units, in order for them to sell their titles effectively.

KINDLE DX is the best unit to have for reading and storing erotic manga/comics at this time. For KINDLE 2.0 users, the unofficial program MANGLE allows for better display and file arrangement. SONY eReader for the USA does not carry Yaoi/Homoerotic manga or comics at this time.
