Bravo! Bravo! Jet hit a home run with this highly entertaining, extremely sexy story about a college actor that falls in love with his much admired theater professor. Shawn is small and pretty. He has spent a lifetime fighting that image. When his theater professor asks him to take the female lead in the new play, Shawn struggles between the very real benefits for his acting career and the personal challenges it will bring. Knowing that his professor is always right about these things, Shawn accepts the acting challenge. What he doesn't know, is that the role will change his life. In finding Beatrice, Shawn finds himself. The fact that he finds out he likes drag is just icing on the cake!

Jet does a marvelous job of keeping the story light, yet real. I must admit there was a brief moment that almost brought me to tears. Jet's own acting background brought richness to Shawn's world and incredible depth to Shawn's feelings. I was swept away on page one and carefully returned to reality 80 or so pages later. Fans of Jet's style will not be disappointed. The sexual ambiguity and scorching hot chemistry are very much there. ;-) Interestingly enough, if someone had just outlined the story for me, I wouldn't have reacted favorably. After all, there is not much sex, the ending is HFN and the length of the story is such that character development has to be limited. Yet, good writing is good writing. Ultimately, all the little things I would normally complain about faded in the face of one AWESOME character I won't soon forget. I love Shawn!
