My Torquere Press contract for Now and Forever has expired. It is no longer available on the publisher's website. It has never been available on any distributor sites, so for now it is just plain unavailable for purchase. I do plan to republish this fun little story, but for now the plans are up in the air. It will be available again at the beginning of 2010 in one form or another. I'll post the information/linkage here once I know for sure what it will be myself.

Darryl and Warren have been together twelve years, when their home state of California legalizes same sex marriages. Darryl figures Warren should plan the wedding reception, but they disagree on how much party is too much. Darryl bites his tongue and gives Warren free rein, although he really wants something small and cozy. Will Warren be able to give Darryl what he needs?

Excerpt from a Review by Jaya of "Jaya Reads"

I loved this! Not just because it is a charity sip and has this comment in the blurb: The proceeds from this Wedding Sip will be donated to gay and lesbian legal defense funds supporting the rights of gay marriage. But also because it was just all around good! ... I loved the dynamics between these two, Addison did a good job of putting a realistic spin on relationship woes while continuing to make you understand that these two are madly in love. ... And not only can you indulge in the warm fuzzies when you read this, but you can also take action when you buy this book!

Excerpt from a Review by British Bull Dog of "Rainbow Reviews"

The ending was a delightful surprise, and I won’t spoil it by giving it away. Though less than 4000 words, this story speaks volumes about love, fidelity and the right to be able to marry whom one chooses.

Excerpt from a Review by Teresa of "Fallen Angel Reviews"

Addison Albright has written a sweet and loving story about two men who want nothing more than to spend their lives together. ... The love between Darryl and Warren is both beautiful and very erotic. Thanks go to Addison Albright for bringing a new light into this current social issue with this story.

Excerpt from a Review by Ley of "Joyfully Reviewed"

Now and Forever is a sweet, beautiful story and I enjoyed it very much.   With great friends and family Daryl and Warrens’ special day is perfect.

Excerpt from a Review by boylove_addict in her Livejournal ("Ramblings of an M/M Lover")

This story is only 14 pages long, but... wow!  It packs an emotional wallop.  The balance between passion and emotion is just perfect.  I have read much longer works by well known authors that fail to deliver the level of character development and superior style of writing this little story delivers.

An Excerpt

Warren hummed to himself as he flipped through the caterer’s brochure.  Simple, he told himself.  Keep it simple.  He passed on the Teriyaki Grilled Salmon with Fruit Salsa and even the Chicken Cordon Bleu.  They sounded delicious to him, but Darryl wouldn’t like them.  Darryl liked his food simple and Warren placed Darryl above the guests as he pondered the options.

He settled on Grilled Chicken Chardonnay and Sirloin Beef with Burgundy Mushroom for the entrées; fairly simple yet elegant.  He put the menu aside and looked over the invitation options.  He paused as he looked over one that caught his eye.  Darryl would like its unfussy design with plain masculine lines and coloring.

A whisper of warm breath at the side of his neck brought him out of his reverie just a moment before Darryl’s lips began a trail up to that sensitive spot behind his ear that never failed to thrill him.  Warren closed his eyes and tilted his head to the side.

When the tantalizing lips pulled away he opened his eyes and turned to smile at Darryl.  Darryl was looking over his shoulder at the invitation he was holding.  “That’s a nice one sweetheart.  Is that the one you’re going to use?”

“Maybe, I just started looking at them.  That one caught my eye because I thought you’d like it too.”

“I do.”  Warren followed Darryl’s eyes as they moved to the pricing sheet.  Warren hadn’t looked at that yet himself and was appalled when he saw the price.  A box of one hundred of those invitations would cost $469.00.

To his credit Darryl’s reaction was no more that an abrupt intake of breath.  He paused a moment, probably biting his tongue off, before commenting with remarkable restraint.  “How large is the guest list, Warren?”

Uh oh.  He was trying to pare it down, but couldn’t decide who to cut.  “About a hundred and twenty?  I’m working on cutting it back.”

Darryl’s face was an unreadable mask.  He was good at that, to Warren’s frustration.  Warren wanted to know how Darryl felt about the plans so far.  His worry was that Darryl’s lack of emotion was a big ole red flag signaling his aversion to the whole she-bang and that Darryl was merely indulging him.

Fuck.

He was completely out of the mood for party planning now and scooped the scattered documents into their file folder.  He turned to Darryl and beamed a smile at him.  He was definitely not out of the mood for Darryl.

Darryl’s eyebrow quirked and the mask melted as he pulled Warren to his feet and into his arms.  They didn’t say anything, but Warren now knew that Darryl was just pandering to what he knew Warren wanted, and Warren loved him all the more for it.

Darryl kissed him, and Warren opened up, deepening the kiss and pulling himself tightly against Darryl’s sturdy body.  He wound his arms around Darryl’s neck and moaned when he felt Darryl’s tongue begin a slow exploration of his mouth.

It would all be okay.  In Darryl’s arms Warren always knew that any disagreements they had were trivial in the face of their love.  Whatever Darryl’s true feelings were regarding Warren’s plans for the reception, it was clear that he wasn’t overly put out by it.

Warren ground his hips against Darryl and felt Darryl’s erection pressing back just above his own.  He moved his hands down to the buttons of Darryl’s jeans and unfastened them.  He pushed a hand inside Darryl’s underwear and Darryl pressed a hot prick into his hand.

Warren broke the kiss and sucked his way down Darryl’s neck then back up to his ear.  “Tell me what you want, hon.  You just want my hand?  You want my mouth, or…”  He broke it off there, figuring Darryl knew how to fill in the blank.

Darryl growled and let his actions speak for him, fumbling quickly at the fastenings of Warren’s jeans.  He wanted what was behind door number three.

Warren felt himself being spun around and then Darryl’s strong body was molded along the length of his back.  He felt needy lips at the crook of his neck, nipping and sucking, marking him, and he smiled.

Darryl’s arms were around him, moving over his body and he placed his hands over Darryl’s.  A moan escaped him and he closed his eyes to lose himself in the sensations that were coursing through him.

There were words lost in the moans.  He tended to lose control of whatever mechanism his body used to filter thoughts before they became words whenever Darryl aroused him.  Darryl’s touch was death to his self control.

“Hold on,” was whispered in his ear.  He had to latch onto the table to keep from falling as Darryl stepped away.  Damn it.  He heard a kitchen drawer open as he regained his equilibrium and realized that Darryl was fetching one of several bottles of lube they had scattered throughout the house.  Of course.

He looked back as Darryl returned to him.  The look of passion in Darryl’s eyes was intense and full of love.  Warren couldn’t help smiling at the man.  He loved Darryl so damned much.  He’d do anything to make him happy.

Darryl grinned back and kissed his lips before reaching down to pull Warren’s shirt up over his head.  He removed his own shirt as well and tossed them both aside before resuming his assault on the side of Warren’s neck.

Darryl’s hands were back on the sides of his waist, warm and pushing at his waistband.  Warren felt hot breath at his ear as Darryl spoke, his voice low and ragged.  “Over the table or up against the wall?”
