Hi all! My name is Aricia Gavriel, and I'm lucky enough to be the Bookshelf's Reviewer in Residence. This is a heap of fun for be because I love books, love gay books, and participating in this community is already one of the best things I've known in years. I live in Adelaide, South Aus, same as Mel Keegan and DreamCraft. I have a Gay Book Blog that I'm neglecting due to being overworked and underpaid, but I swear on a stack of holy books (or comic books if you prefer) that I will get caught up soon. My wiki page is right here ... visit me there to check out some of my favorite books and writers. Thanks for reading!

Mountie: Manlove Junkie, working hard to convert romance readers to our side ... click for much more, and some dazzling eyecandy, too...

*waves at everyone*

Hi & thanks Mel for putting links to my corner of the Wiki in earlier. Laughing

I re-discovered the joys of reading M/M erotica and romance just over 18 months ago and I haven't looked back since.  I love the equality between the partners; the way men interact is very different to the way men and women do and for me just fits much better into what I prefer to read.  I have also found a community of people; authors, reviewers and readers who are warm, welcoming, fun, thoughtful and definately my kind of people.  I welcome everyone to come visit me and post comments, thoughts and talk about the book you are currently reading.

I also am involved in a Manlove Forum, The Manhole @ The Phade where we do all of the above plus more.  If you like interacting in a forum environment please feel free to join our chatty group of readers and authors.  You will find book reviews, in depth book and book/theme related discussions, news about issues facing the GBLT community, links to sites of interest and some really hot manlove pics for inspiration. Tongue out

Bluearachnid

I am very happy to be a part of this wiki as a voracious reader of GLBT books.  I have already discovered new writers and bought their books through this site.  Hunting for new writers has been time consuming in the past, and already it is easier here, leaving me more time to read.

I confess I don't usually give feedback to writers unless they ask for it, but I am a faithful repeat buyer of those writers I feel have talent.  It has been my experience that while praise is nice, it does not pay the rent.

I support independent bookstores over large corporations, and have had no problems buying from small publishers.  I will be glad to buy from any link that writers put up for me (Amazon if you must), so please put in the link that brings you the most money.

Thanks to all the writers whose words have taken me to a better place over the years.  I love you more than you will ever know, and please, never stop writing!

The Manhole @ The Phade

is a forum for those who love to read and write gay romance and erotica and an online community where readers and authors alike come together from all corners of the planet to share their thoughts, experiences and enthusiasm for manlove in fiction.

We like to rave and rant about our latest reads and enjoy open, honest and in depth discussion on all aspects of gay romance and erotica. We also proudly promote gay fiction to anyone who will listen and shamelessly lure new readers and authors into the fold. We have serious discussions about gay issues and rights throughout the world, but can easily shift gears for some fun and wax poetic on the merits of “better living through bondage” and olive oil as "organic lube", our love of “dangly bits” and “nipple pebblosity” and our forever endless fascination with “men in kilts”.

Most of all, The Manhole @ The Phade is our little corner
of the virtual world where we promote and celebrate manlove in fiction.  Come visit us at our GLBT Bookshelf pages here or hit one of the links above, where you'll find links to our Awesome Authors, some of our many reviews, and a teaser for the kind of things you'll find in The Manhole.

We look forward to seeing you there. Laughing

Meet Lex Valentine!

badgeMy name's Lex and I'm a sexaholic. No, wait. Wrong meeting. HEH. Actually, I'll admit to having had (ummm not admitting to anything at present since I'm in a relationship with a long haired rocker who loves his privacy!) a wild and varied sex life. It's fueled a lot of what I write. I'm pretty open about myself and what I've done which is probably why I don't mind using my past to turn up the heat in my books.

I write mostly erotic paranormal romance because it means I can base the story in the world of my creation, a world I've been building for almost 23 years. I do break out of that world on occasion as my current WIPs prove. I've been writing M/M paranormal for a couple of years at an online serial story called The Bar. I also have a M/M story at The Pink Chair Diaries. Fire Season is my first full-length M/M novel and it's an erotic paranormal with dragon shifting heroes.  My current WIPs include a M/M ghost story for submission to MLR Press, a M/M shape-shifter novella that is part of an anthology with Dee Carney and Mina Carter, and some M/M Christmas cowboy stories for Pink Petal Books.

I hang out at my own Yahoo group, Tales of the Darkworld, and at the groups of fellow M/M authors ZAMaxfield, Ethan Day, and Jason Edding. Ethan and Jason were kind enough to beta Fire Season for me and the book is dedicated to them for all their help! As nice as they are, I think I'm giving my next M/M manuscript to author Patric Michael to beta. There's nothing like making a new bestselling author squee. *wink*

Stop by my page here and check out me and Fire Season! I actually don't mind the body cavity search...
