Navigation is simple ... but don't forget to "drill down." This is a wiki, and many layers deep. The wiki takes the form of lists of lists, and some lists have lists of their own!

As a registered member, you're at liberty to post, comment, create new pages of your own, and maintain them. There are very few "rules and regulations," but before you get started, please take a few minutes to scan the Terms of Service ... which is NOT a legal document!

Help is available in the form of tutorials, User Forums and The Guide ... enjoy!

GLBT Bookshelf is the brainchild of Mel Keegan ... and if you don't know who MK is, by all means, click here!

We're a Community of writers, artists, publishers, booksellers -- all independent. We all have a common goal: to reach readers, to sell books, earn royalties, and spend a lot more time writing (painting, editing, publishing...) and a lot less time doing mundane, traditional, ordinary, boring jobs.

To this end, we're ganging up on the mainstream publishing industry. With "strength in numbers," this Community intends to reach readers in extremely large numbers; and when even a quite small percentage of those readers become customers, we'll have succeeded.

Every member of this Community also has something else in common: we're creating new works in the GLBT "niche" market, which can be a difficult market indeed. We serve the GLBT community and its friends, supporters and collaborators. As writers, we're marginalized a second time! We're independents (which makes life enough of a challenge!) and to top it off, we're in a niche which is "ticklish," political, easy for mainstream booksellers to ignore or edit out.

We fight for our rights to publish and market our work against censorship, right-wing opposition, and even debacles such as the recent AmazonFail situation.

This fight -- for the right to write and be read! -- is in the best interests of readers too. Readers genuinely don't have to  be dictated to by Big Business, government, or ecclesiastical bodies with quasi-spiritual agendas. With a small piece of plastic (thoughtfully labelled 'Visa' or 'Mastercard'), they can buy your books online support indie publishing and writing. You can protect your own future freedom of choice by supporting independents.

If you're a reader, that's just about all you need to know. You can start browsing for books right now -- this wiki is loaded with them ... also with free reading, sample chapters, cover images, author pages, and a lot more. Unlike any other wiki you ever visited, this is also a bookstore! Hunt down the perfect book and buy it right here, with goods shipped to you from the "big names" in the online book supplying business.

If you're a writer, publisher, cover artist, bookseller -- here's much more:
